FULL MEMBERSHIP IS AUTOMATICALLY OBTAINED ONCE AN OFFICIAL WORKS A
GAME FOR THE UNIT.
DC/NOVA requires its clients to notify the Commissioner a minimum of two (2) hours prior to kick
off of a game cancellation, else, if the official has left for the game, the game is charged for and the
official is paid. If an official does not show up for a game he is fined the game fee(s). Officials are
expected to be at the field ready to officiate a minimum of 30 minutes prior to kick off, any less
than this and a fine of one-half (½) the game fee or more can/will be applied. General meetings with
pay-outs are held at least three (3) times a year. The Annual General Meeting, which includes the
election of officers, is held the 2nd week of December.
GAME REPORTS.
To be paid for expenses of officiating, leagues require we guarantee the following minimum
reporting: game report form must be received from the Referee. Otherwise no payment is made
to the Unit for the game, and no payment is made to the Referee. IN FACT HE IS FINED IN ORDER
TO PAY THE Assistant Referees AND OTHER RELATED COSTS.
MEMBERSHIP DUES.
There are no membership dues charged the officials who work for DC/NOVA, but 11% is deducted from their fees to pay costs incurred: i.e., postage, phones, assigning & operating the Unit.
Referees will be assigned matches based on the following guidelines:

Each official will be assessed $8.00 per year (while prices remain stable) for medical and liability insurance. The fee will be deducted from the first pay-out of the year.

relationships with and work in consonance with the State Associations. This will include encouraging
all unaffiliated leagues with which we do business to affiliate.
